Hi, I’m Kristen! 🤍
I’m a wife, proud boy mom, devoted dog mom, daughter, and lover of all things creative. When I’m not spending time with my family or loving on my pups, you’ll usually find me crafting, creating something new, or dreaming up my next project.
Photography gives me another way to put that creativity to work. Through Kristen VanDyke Photography, and in collaboration with StoryLight Dream Studio, I get to help create beautiful experiences and capture the genuine moments that make every family unique.
I love the little details—the giggles, cuddles, personalities, and connections that can’t be staged or recreated. Whether I’m behind the camera, helping design a special set, or making families feel comfortable in front of the lens, my goal is to make each session fun, relaxed, and memorable.
Family is at the heart of everything I do, and I know just how quickly today’s ordinary moments become tomorrow’s treasured memories. I’m excited to work alongside StoryLight Dream Studio to create beautiful images and experiences your family can hold onto for years to come. 🐾💙📸✨
Hi, I’m Wendi — the photographer behind StoryLight Dream Studio. 📸✨
I believe some of life’s most beautiful moments are found in the little things: genuine smiles, belly laughs, tiny hands, warm hugs, and the connections between the people we love most.
When I’m not behind the camera, I wear quite a few other hats! I’m a wife, mom to three beautiful children, Maw Maw to one very handsome grandson, dog mom, and cat mom. Family is a huge part of my world, and it’s one of the reasons I understand just how quickly the years pass and how important it is to capture the moments we never get back.
Outside of photography and family life, I’m also a full-time CFO and a PhD candidate in Developmental Psychology. My professional life may seem worlds apart from photography, but I think each part of my life brings something special to the studio—organization, creativity, patience, an appreciation for people, and a genuine interest in the relationships and connections that shape our lives.
My goal is to create a relaxed, welcoming photography experience where you can simply enjoy the moment while I capture the memories. I especially love designing creative seasonal sets and themed mini sessions that turn an ordinary portrait session into something a little more magical.
At StoryLight Dream Studio, photography is about so much more than taking a beautiful picture. It’s about telling your story, celebrating the people you love, and preserving a little piece of exactly who you are in this season of life.
As a mom and Maw Maw, I know firsthand that babies grow, kids change, families evolve, and somehow the years seem to pass faster and faster. Photographs give us something tangible to hold onto when those little moments have become treasured memories.
